From the Wangapeka Road cross Wangapeka River then ascend Chummies Track to the 6 bunk John Reid Hut ($5 hut ticket) taking about 4 hours.
Sunday descend Gibbs Track then re-cross the Wangapeka River and go along to Rolling Junction and back to the cars.

From Flora carpark walk to the 22 bunk Salisbury Lodge ($15 hut ticket) taking about 4 hours. from here visit the spectacular Richards cave on the edge of tussock land 30 minutes from the hut. Only takes about 4 minutes walk horizontally into the cave to see spectacular cave formations.
Sunday return to Flora carark.

From the Flora carpark walk to Gridiron Creek then cross the Flora Stream and ascend an old route to some rock formations and bivvy then return for a full day's walk.

From Kerr Bay zigzag up out of the bush to a great lookout point just below the ridge of the St Arnaud Range and return taking about 5 hours.
There will be an alternative choice of the Grunt Trapline climbing steeply up to the range and then down the Parachute Rocks track taking 6-7 hours.
Or you can just take it easy and stroll along the Lake Head Track

From Lyell a 5 hour tramp on a well graded track up to the nice new private hut on the Old Ghost road track (now partly open).
If time allows carry on from the saddle to the Lyell Range tops.
All 11 bunks are booked, cost $15 each.
There are two four-bunk summer sleep-outs also available, but all four bunks need to be booked at a cost of $22.50 per bunk, and these sleep-outs are not booked, so are subject to being available.
Sunday return to the start.
